Tour Overview

This is a group safari to Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park. The safari begins with pick up from Nairobi at a central location (Muindi Mbingu Street) or pick up from hotels within the Nairobi CBD or westland area near the highway for easy pick up.
The safari is customized safari vehicle and you will spend the night in a tented camp which is all ensuite with a bathroom, flushing toilet and bed.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara

At 8 o’clock you will be picked up from your hotel within the Nairobi city center and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley.Here you will see the semi active Mt longonot and 2 other dormant volcanic mountains, Mt. Suswa and Mt Margaret for 10 mins. Lunch will be on the way at a motel in a town called Narok. You will arrive in late afternoon to your camp and later at 4.30 pm depart for a 2 hour game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve until 6.30pm. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at the Camp.

Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Masai Mara is the wonder of the world.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve

Early breakfast at 6.30am and Depart for a full day game viewing. This is the most important day since we are hoping to see the big five, especially the big cats which are extremely illusive. Also we will visit the famous Mara river where the great migration happens, have a guided tour by the rangers to see the Nile crocodiles and hippo families and just to top it off have a picnic lunch under a tree in the park overlooking the vast landscapes.

Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at USD 20 per person. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people.

Dinner and overnight at Lenchada Touristic Camp

Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nakuru

You will have an early breakfast at 6.30am and there after just do a short game drive in the park and thereafter commence drive to Nakuru arrive there in the late afternoons, do game drives and here we are hoping to see the endangered species of the white rhino and also the Rothschild giraffe species.

Late checking around 6pm at the Lanet Matfam Resort and have dinner/rest there.

Day 4: Nakuru to Nairobi

You will have an early breakfast and depart by 7am straight to the park. It’s a small park with magnificent, rare white rhinos which form part of the Big five animals. There is also a possibility to see the pink flamingos . The game drive lasts 3 hours, after which you depart on a 3-hour drive back.

N.B: A balloon safari can be organized on the 2nd day in the masaai mara at USD 380 per person(optional) early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. to Nairobi to arrive at around 3 pm.

You will be dropped off at the city centre/hotel within the city centre.
